Hey! I’m Shayna, and I’m thrilled to tell you about my background and passions. I'm an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist with over a decade of clinical expertise, predominately in school systems. After 3 years of practice, I realized there was a gap in schools to have sustainability and longevity with seasoned clinicians. I founded Total Communication Therapy to address that problem. As the Director and Speech Pathologist, I've provided not only much needed speech and language services to schools, but consistently year over year. My proven track record is demonstrated in my long term relationships established with families, schools, medical providers, and peers. Specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cognitive Therapy, Traumatic Brain Injury, Down syndrome allows me to tailor interventions and optimize outcomes which I understand impact academic achievement. Additionally, I am adept at addressing diversity with delay in speech and language in lower socioeconomic demographics which is sorely underserved.

Gaining my Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida State University provided foundational understanding that set me up for success. I grew to conducting comprehensive assessments, individualized treatment plans, and provision of direct therapy that is demographically and diagnostically specific. I ensure holistic care for my students and clients while being a resource for other professionals who need support in facilitating success with students.

Since I started in 2016, business ownership has been a learning curve that required new areas of expertise. I developed and executed a strategic business plan that supports the pain points of school districts from fiscal to student population. Presently, I've honed in on the needs and refined my company to fulfills the unique issues of school districts. I maintain a competitive rate with the market while providing services above expectation. This ensures client satisfaction and facilitates service expansion.
